Dylan Price Music
Dylan began taking piano lessons at age 9 while growing up in Camillus, NY, a small town outside of Syracuse. He has since been an active performer, accompanist, and composer having organized multiple personal recitals and having several pieces commissioned by chamber ensembles and soloists. He is currently employed as the pianist and organist at the United Church of Pittsford for which he accompanied the weekly services and choir rehearsals. He enjoys writing music for film and has collaborated with several students from the Rochester Institute of Technology, writing scores for their student films, one of which having gone on to be an Addy Award National Finalist. In the past he has attended the Pacific Northwest Summer Film Scoring Program under the instruction of Emmy Award winning composer Hummie Mann and has audited the NYU/ASCAP Summer Film Scoring Workshop. This year, he was accepted as a participant at the NYU Summer Workshop and will be working along side such composing icons as Mark Snow and Sean Callery. Dylan is a junior at the Eastman School of Music seeking his BM degree in Music Theory and studies piano under the tutelage of Tony Caramia.
